Thank you Sarah & Dougal. Your support and coaching has changed me forever. I’ve got a new mindset, new attitude and a new body! Never before have I been this close to my ideal body. I’ve been “Forever FICX’d”

Not only did I FOCUS, but was a bit on the FANATICAL side. ;)

My workouts were performed with INTENSITY and they were INTENTIONAL.

Not only was I COMPLIANT, but was also CONSISTANT for the entire 10 weeks.

I did it all with XCELLENCE and put a little XTRA on top!

I gave it 100% plus and the results happened.  I’ve learned that I needed to adopt the “habit” mindset instead of “diet” mindset. I needed to change my entire attitude about nutrition, exercise, body image and reign in my thoughts about myself. It all starts in your head. Do the mental part and the rest will follow. Do the program and it will work.

I’ve had several “highlights” during this 10 week challenge, but one that really hit me was when Sarah & Dougal decided to give up coffee when I decided to give up weighing myself everyday. They’d only have it on my weigh in days. Can you imagine that? What support I felt having them give up such a treasured habit just for me! Making the decision to quit weighing myself everyday has been life changing and knowing that they were giving up coffee on those days made it easier to not jump on the scale on a daily basis. Once the habit was broken I realized how chained I was to that thing. That silly number on the scale would affect my entire day. I was getting to the point of weighing myself at night too. Very un-helpful. Now I weigh once a week and am even bummed when it’s too low knowing that I need to increase my lean body mass. Measurements rule. The scale is a non-issue. Thank you Sarah & Dougal for your sacrifice, solidarity and support. You’re AWESOME! And I’m forever grateful.

It doesn’t stop here:

Workout today: Upper body – then a  22 mile bike ride at lunch to Avila Beach. (I know, I know, I shouldn’t do both, but it’s going to be 77 degrees today!)

Meal plan: Refeed – High carb thank goodness
Meal 1: Oatmeal w/protein
Meal 2: Live food smoothie
Meal 3: roasted veggies w/hummus & clif builder bar
Meal 4: Protein drink & salad
Meal 5: Quinoa salad w/mango & asparagus

Goals & Affirmations:
My waist is 24″ and hips are 35″

My energy is through the roof as I eat a plant-based vegan diet.
I am at my goal body fat%
I am maintaning my weight and measurements until the “Next Phase” begins!
I am setting new goals to build muscle in my arms, shoulders & legs
I am encouraging at least 3 people today
I am laughing out loud at least 3 times today
I am only putting positive in and allowing no negative out of my mouth.
I am not touchy.
I am not easily offended. I rather laugh at myself and the things I used to get offended about.
I’m excited about the Next Phase  and look forward to more competition! Bring it on!!
Make it a fabulous Monday!!

Thank you Sarah! And AWESOME Dougal!! Coffee is even harder than the scale addiction! ;) I’m thrilled to be free of that bondage and I’ll tell EVERYONE I know. And here’s why: “Muscle is your secret weapon in your war against fat. Muscle is your “metabolic furnace,” burning calories even as you sleep and watch TV. Muscle is active tissue – it is the catalyst for a fast metabolism. Fat just sits there idly in clumps on your body. Unfortunately, most people pay little attention to their amount of muscle because they’re too busy worshipping the almighty scale. This is a huge mistake!” And I ain’t never gonna do that again! To this I owe you my deepest gratitude.

Karen – I’m beaming like a proud parent here HAHAHAAA!

I’ll let you into a little secret – Dougal hasn’t had coffee at ALL since we stopped drinking on your non-weigh days!

Whenever anyone comes to us with a scale addiction, that’s seriously affecting their quality of life, I’m going to have them read your Challenge II Journal and together we’ll help them make the mind shift that you did so they can also be FREEEEE :-)

You’ve broken a habit that was very deeply ingrained and made a TRUE shift, which is just awesome.

I know you’ve been inspiring a lot of people who’ve been quietly watching you, and are blazing a trail for the veggie and vegan girls out there too.

We might never know who they all are, but you’ve done them all a fabulous service during these last 10 weeks. On their behalf, I’d like to say a very big THANK YOU.

I’m looking forward to you continuing your JOURNEY and taking up your role as a SPFGs Ambassador :D

    Sarah x
